Privacy Policy

Personal data (hereinafter mostly referred to as "data") is processed by us only as necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly (web) app, including its content and the services offered therein.

According to Art. 4 No. 1 of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR"), "processing" means any operation or set of operations which is performed upon personal data, whether or not by automatic means, such as collection, recording, organisation, filing, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

With the following privacy policy, we inform you in particular about the nature, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we decide either alone or jointly with others on the purposes and means of processing.

II. Rights of users and data subjects

With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right to

In addition, the Provider is obliged to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed by the Provider about any correction or deletion of data or restriction of processing that takes place on the basis of Articles 16, 17 (1), 18 of the GDPR. However, this obligation does not exist insofar as this notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Notwithstanding the above, the user has a right to information about these recipients.

Likewise, according to Art. 21 GDPR, users and data subjects have the right to object to the future processing of data concerning them, insofar as the data is processed by the provider in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 p.1 f GDPR.

 

III. Information on data processing

Your data processed when using our (web) app will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of the storage no longer applies, the deletion of the data does not contradict any legal retention obligations and no other information on individual processing methods is provided below.

Processed data and logging when using the (web) app.

You have the option of downloading Passes applied for using the (web) app to your smartphone or other electronic device using the system provided by the Town of Coburg. In order to check your authorisation, the following data must be transmitted once to/via our system:

  1. Pass number/Pass type of the Holiday Pass issued to you
  2. Family name of the person for whom the Pass was issued
  3. The access PIN specified when the Pass was issued
  4. d. Electronic facsimile of the issued Pass

Th electronic Pass and the Pass number are then saved on your device until you delete them from the app.

For security reasons and to prevent misuse, requests via this system are logged and evaluated in case of any suspicions. In addition to the above-mentioned data, further status information, including the IP address of the requesting device, date and time of the request as well as the reason for and result of the request are logged for this purpose. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 f GDPR. The data will be deleted immediately after the end of the validity period of the respective Holiday Pass.

 

The machine-readable code printed on the Holiday Pass can be used by the Town of Coburg, the District of Coburg and the providers or acceptance points participating in the Holiday Pass (an overview of the providers/acceptance points can be found at www.coburg.de/ferienpass) to verify the authenticity of the pass presented. To verify the Pass, the following data is transmitted:

  1. Pass number/Pass type of the Holiday Pass issued to you
  2. Family name of the person for whom the Pass was issued
  3. Electronic facsimile of the issued Pass
  4. Logon data of the querying acceptance point

For security reasons and to prevent misuse, requests via this system are logged and evaluated in case of any suspicions. In addition to the above-mentioned data, further status information, including the IP address of the requesting device, date and time of the request as well as the reason for and result of the request are logged for this purpose. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 f GDPR. The data will be deleted immediately after the end of the validity period of the respective Holiday Pass.

 

Session cookies/session cookies, use of local storage objects.

We use so-called cookies as well as local memory objects for your browser in the web app. These are small text files or database entries or other storage features that are stored on your device by the Internet browser you use. Through these cookies or memory objects, certain information from you, such as your browser or location data or your IP address, is processed to a certain extent.

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 b) and f) GDPR.

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies or the use of local storage objects through settings in your Internet browser. Likewise, you can delete already stored cookies/local storage objects at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on the specific Internet browser used. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your Internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support.

However, if you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all functions of the (web app) can be used in full.

 

Contract processing

The data you provide for the use of the Holiday Pass services offered will be processed by us for the purpose of processing the contract and are necessary to this extent. It is not possible to process the contract without the provision of your data. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 ltr. b) GDPR. We delete the data, unless there is a compelling reason for further storage, as soon as the contract is fully processed.
